Story
Dear Supporters,
Superintendent Gary Merryweather, Chief Inspector Daryn Middlebrook and Chief Inspector Maureen Deagan are taking part in this years Police Legacy Remembrance Bike ride from Sydney to Canberra starting on the morning of the 27th April and finishing in Canberra on the 29th April. We have undertaken this ride on many occasions since it commenced in 2013 with a keen bunch of 25 riders! During past rides we have battled harsh weather conditions, however there has never been any complaining given the strong camaraderie that exists and the reason why we do this ride. This bike ride has become the major fund-raiser for NSW Police Legacy. Unfortunately, the three of us have seen many of our colleagues killed and seriously injured and their families supported by Police Legacy in times of need. We are all proud to be part of this ride raising much needed funds for our own charity. The team "Blacktown COPS" would appreciate any amount you can provide.

The Trustee For NSW Police Legacy
NSW Police Legacy is the NSW Police Force Charity. Established in 1987 it was initially founded to support the bereaved families following the loss of their loved one. Now, our support extends to include police officers and their families experiencing challenging times in their lives. Our police family has grown to include not only families suffering from loss and grief, but those experiencing misfortune that require extra support. Our committment is to build on the care and support of serving and retired police officers and their families during times of tragedy and need with financial assistance, emotional support and networking opportunities so they are never forgotten. http://www.policelegacynsw.org.au/
