Hi there!
I'm gearing up and making a difference by fundraising NSW Police Legacy, a charity that's close to my heart. I'd appreciate any contribution, big or small.
NSW Police Legacy provides services to police legatees and members of the wider police family across the State. Regardless of whether a police officer was serving or retired, or the circumstances of their death, NSW Police Legacy ensures no partner or child of a deceased officer will ever feel forgotten.
I have seen first hand the great work done by Police Legacy. Some of you may know my two step children (Jack and Ben Goodwin) are legatees, being the children of the late former Senior Constable Daniel Goodwin.
Since becoming legatees, I've seen the boys light up at each birthday and Christmas when they receive a small gift and card from Police Legacy. Just a small token to let the boys know they're not forgotten. To let them know they're still cared for by the wider police family. The boys have also had school scholarships, counselling, and other support services made available to them through legacy. I'm also aware of other programs they fund such as driving lessons for older kids, mentoring programs and much more. I simply can not speak highly enough about them.
If something was to happen to you today, wouldn't you like to know that someone would be looking out for your family and in particular, your children tomorrow.
Obviously, this is a cause close to my heart. As such, I'm jumping on board to raise money for NSW Police Legacy by completing the 300km bicycle ride from the Police Memorial in Sydney to the National Police Memorial in Canberra in April this year. Jack and Ben will be joining the group and riding the last 20km also. I'm sure this will be a great buzz for them.

The Trustee For NSW Police Legacy
NSW Police Legacy is the NSW Police Force Charity. Established in 1987 it was initially founded to support the bereaved families following the loss of their loved one. Now, our support extends to include police officers and their families experiencing challenging times in their lives. Our police family has grown to include not only families suffering from loss and grief, but those experiencing misfortune that require extra support.
